Committee on Rights of the Child 30th session: 10 more States told to ban all corporal punishment

The Committee on the Rights of the Child recommended prohibition of all corporal punishment, including in the family, to 10 states at the end of its thirtieth session in Geneva on June 7 2002. The Committee had examined initial reports from Guinea Bissau, Netherlands Antilles, Niger, Switzerland, St Vincent and the Grenadines and United Arab Emirates, and Second Reports from Belarus, Belgium, Spain and Tunisia.
