New All Africa report on ending legalised violence against children published

A new 60-page special report reviews progress towards eliminating corporal punishment of children across Africa. The report, published by the Global Initiative and Save the Children Sweden, is being presented at the African Child Policy Forum 2006 International Policy Conference on the African Child, on May 11 and 12 2006 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The report includes a state-by-state analysis of the legality of corporal punishment and summarises research into the prevalence of corporal punishment and children’s views across Africa.
