Human Rights Commission condemns corporal punishment

In a consensus resolution on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment adopted in April, the Human Rights Commission reminded Governments "that corporal punishment, including of children, could amount to cruel punishment or even torture." (E/CN.4/2001/L.47)
