Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) are supporting the YesVote campaign.
Students Against Violence is a group of youth taking our communities by storm spreading our message of peace and non-violence. Save has created a movement of youth making a stand against violence and is seeing the results of increased in awareness in our schools and communities. Our members are a motivated movement of youth, making a difference to society.

In August 2009, four members of SAVE travelled to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, to talk to MPs about why they should vote Yes in the referendum. One of them, Johnny O'Donnell, gave a speech to MPs on Parliament Steps. Read his speech on the YesVote website, or see two videos of their trip on YouTube.

After this event, on the first day of the referendum, five SAVE members held a protest calling for adults to vote 'Yes' in the referendum.
Just five youth turned out to protest for a yes vote in the first day of the referendum with Labour MP Maryan Street, Gina Lyon and Deborah van Dam showing their support for the kaupapa.
Members taped their mouths shut to symbloise their lack of say in the referendum due to the voting age, some members also wore white masks and chanted "we have no face, we have no say- it's up to you to speak for us"
The event was overall very sucessful.

In July 2009, SAVE also held an online referendum, giving children who are not allowed to vote in the referendum the chance to have their say. 100 children and young people votes. To the question "Should a smack as part of good parental correction be a criminal offence in NZ?" (the same question asked in the referendum) 69% of young people voted 'Yes.'
