In 2010, they held a conference in Suzhou, China, where young people from China, South Korea and Singapore discussed corporal punishment in the home and in school, and created a report.
The organization tried to make sure that all youth were able to speak, by inviting not only international schools but also the local schools that cannot afford to attend other events which are held abroad. The organization also made sure that the conference was free. The facility usage fee was sponsored by the Suzhou University, where the conference was held.
During the pre-conference preparation, each group of young people participating in the event was asked to write action papers about their opinion of corporal punishment and what could be done about it.
Then, at the conference, the young delegates prepared a full report about their opinions of corporal punishment, the UN Convention on the Rights of the ChildA very important set of rules about how countries should respect children's rights., and their recommendations of what young people, parents, governments, charities and others can do to stop corporal punishment. Read the report.
