The Save the Children Global Children’s Panel has members from six countries where Save the Children UK work. The 12 members meet once a year. In the meantime, most of them use Bebo to discuss issues. This can be difficult. Sometimes, adults need to help, because children live in very rural areas where it is hard to access the internet and phones.

In 2009, the panel made a film for the G20 meeting in London, containing statements from children around the world about what world leaders should do to make sure children’s rights are respected. One of the statements says that:

“Safeguarding children should be a top priority. So we ask that you invest money to develop child protection systems."
