This website is about the things that children and young people are doing all over the world to stop corporal punishmentPunishing someone using physical force, in a way which is meant to hurt them or make them uncomfortable. Click to read more..
We hope that this website will be useful to children who want to take action against corporal punishment and to adults who work with them.
To make this website, the Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children sent out a questionnaire to lots of adults who work against corporal punishment. Some of the adults who work with children filled the questionnaire in and sent it back, sometimes with photos or documents about the actions children had taken.
A worker in the UK read through the questionnaires and made what they said into articles about each country, an article about the problems and solutions, and a list of resources. Before the information was put online, the adults who filled in the questionnaires had a chance to see their articles and change anything that was wrong.
